Dr. Smriti Nayan is an otolaryngologist–head and neck surgeon practicing in Cambridge, Ontario, and an Assistant Clinical Professor at McMaster University. She completed fellowship training in Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery at the Université de Montréal and maintains a broad community-based practice alongside her academic and leadership work. Her interests include surgical education, physician leadership, surgical ergonomics, patient-centred education and outreach, and advancing gender equity in surgery. As Chair of Women in Otolaryngology for the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, she is passionate about fostering mentorship, sponsorship, leadership development and meaningful connections across all stages of an otolaryngology career. Dr. Nayan is also a mother of two.
