Our 80th Annual Meeting is now less than two months away. We will gather in the magnificent city of Calgary from May 29 to 31, 2026, for what will be a defining meeting for our Society. Drs. Monica Hoy and Shamir Chandarana, our Local Arrangements Co-Chairs, have created an experience that captures the very best of Calgary.
This year’s theme, Canada’s Role in the World: Leadership through Education, Innovation, and Collaboration, reflects our accomplishments and challenges us to do more.
In a time of growing global uncertainty, collaboration matters. Canada has long led through values, partnership, and influence. The moment now calls for us to be more visible, to share our expertise, and to contribute to the future of our field internationally.
Dr. Yvonne Chan has curated an exceptional scientific program that brings together leaders across disciplines, from science and medicine to public life and the arts. Dr. David Naylor, Dr. Chris Watling, and Dr. Kris Lehnhardt will serve as our keynote speakers, and Colm Feore will join us as the special guest at the President’s Gala. These are individuals who challenge how we think, how we lead, and how we see our role beyond the clinic and operating room. Our plenary sessions will further showcase the depth of leadership within Canadian otolaryngology and among colleagues from around the world.
We are also honoured to welcome the Korean Society of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery as our distinguished international guests, along with colleagues joining us from around the world. Your presence reflects a deep and growing partnership and reinforces the global community we are part of. Your presence is what makes this meeting truly special.
Interest in this year’s meeting has exceeded all expectations. With record registration, Calgary is set to host the largest CSOHNS meeting in our history. I look forward to welcoming you there.
