This new event has been organized to give delegates more opportunity to visit with the meeting’s exhibitors and view the scientific posters presentations. Poster Competition Finalists: Please make yourself available beside your poster during the reception (between 18:00-19:00).
ROYAL COLLEGE MAINTENANCE OF CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
The 67th Annual Meeting is an accredited group learning activity under Section 1, as defined by the RCPSC for the maintenance of certification program. Maximum credit hours: 21.0.
CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
To receive your certificate, please complete the 2013 SESSION-SPECIFIC EVALUATION FORM.
If you:
- Complete the evaluations electronically you will be able to “save and print” your certificate IMMEDIATELY… available shortly

ALL PAPER PRESENTATIONS, WORKSHOPS AND PANEL DISCUSSIONS will be recorded for possible publication on this website.
THE AGM IS GOING PAPERLESS
This year, much of the paper associated with the conference will be eliminated. At the Banff meeting, the following will apply:
- Your NAME BADGE will be your TICKET to the SCIENTIFIC SESSIONS, EXHIBITS and SOCIAL PROGRAM. Please wear it at all times.
- Only a LIMITED number of hardcopy programs will be available on site. We strongly encourage delegates to use their iOS or “Smart Devices” to access program information and scheduling.
- MINUTES of the last annual business meeting in Toronto available in the protected section of this website… Login
- You will be able to complete the SESSION SPECIFIC EVALUATION FORM (mandatory for your Certificate of Attendance) ONLINE via this website during and after the AGM.
- For those who pre-register, confirmation of payment will be EMAILED to you within 14 days of receipt. A hardcopy receipt will be available only on request.
As this is a transition period, hardcopy of meeting materials will be available by request to the office.

SOCIAL PROGRAM
WELCOMING RECEPTION
Sunday, June 2, 2013 – 18:15
This family-friendly event will be held at the top of Banff’s Sulphur Mountain where the panoramic view of the Canadian Rockies is nothing short of spectacular. The gondola seats 4 people, and the ride takes about 7 minutes one way. At the top you will be treated to a buffet dinner as well as have the opportunity to do the Banff Skywalk. This is a 20-30 minute boardwalk and steps hike to the top of Sanson’s Peak and the meteorological observation station with interpretive and historical sign information.
Transportation to/from the hotel, gondola ride and buffet dinner included. Buses will start departing from the Banff Springs Hotel at 18:15. It’s important to note that the weather is usually COLDER AT THE TOP, so bring your warmer clothes just in case.

PRESIDENT’S BANQUET

Karen Kost and her husband Paul Stephenson, cordially invite you to join them for cocktails and dinner in the lovely Alhambra Ballroom of the Banff Springs Hotel. For your enjoyment, entertainment is being planned that will reflect the artistic nature of this year’s meeting theme, “A Voice for Everyone”. Dress is formal, black tie is optional.
A supervised children’s room will be available for those who require childcare for the evening. This will be suitable for children ages 3 to 12 years.

BUS EXCURSION AND LUNCH
Monday, June 3, 2013 (approx. 8 hrs.)
Spend the day exploring one of the most scenic roadways in the world. Following the winding road along the base of the Bow Valley, a stop will be made at Johnston Canyon for a short walk to the Lower Falls. The tour will then continue to the Great Divide, crossing and entering into Yoho National Park. The name “Yoho”, a Cree expression of awe and wonder, succinctly captures the landscape’s essence. Visit incredible stops such as the Spiral Tunnels and Takkakaw Falls before lunch. Emerald Lake is one of the most admired destinations in Yoho National Park and is also the lunch stop location. Following lunch at Emerald Lake Lodge, the coach will return to the Banff Springs Hotel.
