Learning Objectives

After attending the workshop, otolaryngologists will:

 Analyze recent clinical trial data and real-world evidence to determine optimal treatments for newly diagnosed head and neck cancer patients in the Canadian healthcare context

Implement evidence-based multidisciplinary collaboration strategies that integrate surgical, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and pathology expertise to reduce delays in diagnosis and intervention and optimize patient outcomes

Evaluate biomarker-driven patient selection criteria to determine when emerging treatments should be used and when conventional approaches remain optimal, based on current evidence and patient factors

Apply evidence-based decision-making frameworks to integrate new therapeutic options into Canadian head and neck cancer care pathways
