The Canadian Society of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery recognizes its leadership role in continuing professional development for otolaryngologists practicing in Canada. It acknowledges that professional development extends beyond the traditional continuing medical education focused primary on updating medical knowledge and it intends to offer learning opportunities that extend beyond the limits of traditional teams. The Society will accomplish this through ongoing assessments of professional needs and is committed to the development of CPD activities which will address such needs
We have moved over to a new membership portal! The new portal allows you to:
1) Log in to your profile with ease
2) Securely renew your membership and review payments
3) Update your contact information
4) Adjust privacy settings to control what others can see
– Your initial login will require you to set up a password. To get started, click the ‘Begin Here’ button below. From there you will need to enter the email address that we have associated with your membership. Then click ‘Forgot Password’ to enter a password of your choosing.
– Once logged in, your 2025 invoicing information will be onscreen. You can view your full profile by clicking the orange logo in the upper right corner of the screen. Edit your profile and privacy settings by clicking on the Profile or Privacy links, then click the blue ‘Edit Profile’ button.
– Privacy settings for all members are currently set to allow just name and membership level to be visible to other members, but you can make changes to suit your preferences.
– Your membership invoice and payment instructions are also visible on your profile page.
– The menu button in the top left corner of the portal pages gives links to the portal’s Home Page and a Membership Directory.
Subsequent Visits to the portal can be accessed from HERE or the main Wild Apricot Website.

ACTIVE membership is open to graduates in medicine of a Medical School approved by the Board of Directors of the Society. In addition the individual must hold a certificate in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or an equivalent qualification approved by the Board of Directors of the Society. (See list of accepted jurisdictions)
ASSOCIATE membership is open to all residents training in Canadian otolaryngology programs or to a Canadian citizen in an otolaryngology training program approved by the Board of Directors of the Society.
AFFILIATE membership is open to those individuals who are actively undertaking professional work in areas relating to otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, although they need not be otolaryngology-head and neck surgeons or necessarily physicians.
EMERITUS membership are ACTIVE members in good standing who have fifteen (15) years or more of membership in the Society and have reached the age of sixty-five (65) or are retired from active practice. The request for emeritus membership must be made in writing to the Secretary of the Society.
